Privacy
btcdata has no accounts, no forms and no ads. The only personal data it handles is what your browser sends to load the site and, if you accept, anonymous visit counts through Google Analytics.
Who is responsible
btcdata (btcdata.io) is the controller of your personal data. Contact: info@btcdata.io.
Google Analytics, only with your consent
If you click Accept in the cookie banner, Google Analytics counts your visit. It records the pages you view, how you got here (the referring site), your device, browser and screen size, your language and an approximate location (country or city), worked out from your IP address. Google Analytics does not store your IP address. The data is never used for ads and never sold.
- Legal basis: your consent (GDPR article 6(1)(a)).
- Cookies:
_gaand_ga_CHF9S249VZ, which tell visits apart. They last up to 2 years and are deleted if you decline. - Retention: visit data in Google Analytics is kept for 2 months, then deleted.
- Processor: Google Ireland Limited. Google may process data in the United States under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
Until you accept, analytics cookies are off. Google Analytics then only receives cookieless signals with no identifier. You can change your choice at any time: .
Hosting
The site is hosted on Amazon Web Services (Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL, Luxembourg) in the EU (Stockholm) and delivered through the Amazon CloudFront network. Delivering a page means your IP address and browser details pass through AWS. btcdata keeps no access logs. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure, working site (GDPR article 6(1)(f)).
Fonts are served from btcdata.io itself. Market and on-chain data is fetched by our own servers, so your browser doesn't contact the data sources.
Stored on your device
The site saves your cookie choice, chart preferences and any drawings in your browser's local storage. They stay on your device and are never sent to us. Clearing your site data removes them.
Your rights
You can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your data, restrict or object to its processing, ask for a copy to take elsewhere, and withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing. Write to info@btcdata.io. You can also complain to the data protection authority in your country.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
